The Belarusian: the maruna is sapraudny.

Lady's bedstraw real - perennial herbaceous plant of family of madder family (Rubiaceae), up to 125 cm high. The rhizome is thin, long, branched. A stalk direct, simple or branchy, with 4 speakers edges, in nodes a little reinforced. Leaves are uzkolineyny, sharp-pointed, with wrapped up edges, from above shining, from below grayish and fluffy, till 8-12 in a verticil. Flowers numerous, small, golden-yellow, with a honey smell, are collected in large, friable whisks. Fruits are oreshkovidny, lengthways drawn, dvoichaty, to 1 mm of length, naked, seldom trimmed, dark-brown. The lady's bedstraw real in June - September blossoms, fruits ripen in August - September. It is widespread in the European part of the CIS (except the Carpathians and Moldova), in the Caucasus, in the Western and Eastern Siberia, in the Far East, in Central Asia. The lady's bedstraw grows in steppes, the light deciduous woods, on upland meadows, forest glades, edges, cuttings down, steppe slopes, calcareous exposures, sandy and pebble coast of the rivers, lakes, mainly on the sandy soil, weed at the edges of fields, along roads, on railway embankments; groups, absent-mindedly, often plentifully.

Medicinal properties of a plant are known since ancient times. The grass is collected during blossoming of a plant, cutting off only the upper blossoming parts. Chemical composition. Rhizomes of a lady's bedstraw of the present contain iridoida, steroid saponins, tannins, coumarins, flavonoids, ascorbic acid. In a grass of a plant are found a glycoside asperulozid, 173 mg of % of ascorbic acid, 7,4 mg of % of carotene, to 2,5% of rubber, flavonoids, coumarins, tannins, asperulin, essential oil, gallotaninovy and lemon acids, dyes, microelements - Fe, Mn, PF Sr, V, Cu, Zn, Ga, Mo, Ni, Cr, Ti.

Pharmacological properties. The plant possesses the antiinflammatory, antiseptic, anesthetizing, cholagogue, diuretic, laxative, sudorific, fortifying, oestrogenic, styptic, sedative action, promotes healing of wounds.

Use in medicine. Rhizomes. In the Tibetan medicine - at pneumonia, an endometritis, diseases of the kidneys caused by an injury at internal hemorrhages; in the Mongolian - febrifugal at gastrointestinal diseases and diseases of cardiovascular system, and also as a part of collecting, especially at infectious diseases. In traditional medicine broth - as the means strengthening a potentiality and in the absence of periods; locally - at purulent wounds, bruises, cuts, burns. To Transbaikalia (infusion) - at liver diseases. In Kazakhstan (broth) - at respiratory infections.

* Present lady's bedstraw grass infusion: 2 teaspoons of raw materials fill in 200 ml of boiled water, insist, then filter. Accept 1/3 glasses 3 times a day.
* Present lady's bedstraw grass infusion: 4 tablespoons of raw materials fill in 400 ml of boiled water, draw 4 h, then filter. Apply to bathtubs, washings and lotions at skin diseases, wounds and ulcers.
* Present lady's bedstraw juice: accept on the 2nd teaspoons of fresh juice 3 times a day with a honey teaspoon after food.

It is poisonous in a blooming period, on mountain pastures causes a mass disease of goats and sheep.

Use in other areas. Rhizomes of a lady's bedstraw paint depending on pickle cotton in red and violet, wool - in red, wool and silk - in bright pink, violet and orange colors.
