Scarlet fever at children

Scarlet fever — the acute infectious disease which is characterized by the general intoxication, quinsy, a punctate rash and bent to development is purulent - septic complications. Symptoms. The typical medium-weight form of an illness begins sharply with rise in body temperature to 39 — 40 °C, with a fever, pharyngalgias, quite often vomitings. In 1 — the 2nd days of an illness on skin there is a pink punctate rash which is localized mainly on a breast, a stomach, a flexion surface of hands, an internal surface of hips. The nose and a chin are free from rash, and their pallor sharply contrasts with bright redness of cheeks. The pharynx is brightly hyperemic ("flaring"). Quinsy can be catarral, follicular, lacunary and necrotic. Cervical and submaxillary lymph nodes are increased, painful at a palpation. Lips are dry, cracked Language dry, it is covered with a yellow-white plaque; from the 3rd day it begins to be cleared becomes crimson-red with brightly acting nipples. On the 2nd week of a disease the skin peeling appears.
At a toxic form intoxication is sharply expressed. The beginning is rough, high temperature of a body, repeated vomiting, a liquid chair, the general concern, disturbance of consciousness nonsense, spasms. Rash plentiful bright there can be hemorrhages on skin. Hands and legs cold. Tachycardia of the ABP it is reduced, cardiac sounds deaf.
The septic form is characterized by the severe damage of a pharynx (necrotic quinsy) expressed by cervical lymphadenitis, the periadenitis, an adenoflegmona are possible. At a toksiko-septic form at the beginning of a disease the phenomena of the general intoxication, and with 3 — — septic symptoms dominate the 5th day.
Acute management. Penicillin in a daily dose of 20 — 50 — 100 thousand. Piece/kg in oil in 4 receptions; at a toxic form in addition dexamethazone in oil in a single dose of 1-2 mg/kg. At a septic form the daily dose of penicillin increases to 500 thousand — 1 million. Piece/kg, Prednisolonum it is not shown.
To all children appoint vitamin C on 300 — 500 mg a day.
Hospitalization only at severe forms of a disease and existence of complications.
