Belladonna tincture

Tincture of a belladonna (belladonna). Tinctura Belladonnae.

Sostav:0,027 — 0,033% of the alkaloids of a belladonna dissolved in 40% alcohol.

Form of release of medicine. Liquid in bottles on 10 ml.

Use and doses of drug. Inside on 5 — 10 drops 2 — 3 times a day in 30 — 40 min. prior to food or in intervals between food.
The highest doses inside — one-time 0,5 ml (23 drops), daily 1,5 ml (70 drops). Often appoint belladonna tincture in a combination with Tincturas Valerianae, a lily of the valley, etc. To children: till 1 year on 1 drop, 2 years on 2 drops, 3 — 4 years on 3 drops, 5 — 6 years on 3 drops, 7 — 9 years on 4 drops; 10 — 14 years on 4 — 6 drops 3 times a day.

Effect of the medicine. See Atropine. Low content of alkaloids allows to dose easily drug and to avoid a side effect.

Indications to use. See Atropini sulfas. Diseases of the alimentary system, zhelche-and urinary tract, bradycardia, a symptom complex of Morganyi — Adams — Stokes, stenocardia, a dysmenorrhea, hypersalivation, vegetative neuroses, a pneumorrhagia, etc.
